The Ministry of the Environment (MiAMBIENTE) awarded recognition to 15 companies for their efforts in better management of water resources and reduction of consumption.
It is the first award of recognition of the Reduce Your Corporate-Water Footprint Program, carried out by the institution, with the purpose of advancing Panama's adaptation to climate change.
Present at this award ceremony were Diana Laguna, Minister of Environment in charge, Amelie Gonzales, Secretary General, Ligia Castro de Doens, National Director of Climate Change, Yessica Young, Country Manager of Environment, Sustainable Development and Climate Change of the United Nations Program. United Nations for Development (UNDP by its internal acronym; and representatives of private companies, public institutions, municipalities and other key actors of this program.
